Chanhassen AM Legion Post 580

Charitable Gambling

The Chanhassen American Legion Post 580 is a non-profit organization which allows us to raise money through charitable gambling in order to contribute to Chanhassen community and other deserving programs. Stop in and say "Hi".  We're open to the general public. Enjoy some good food, drinks, and friends and support the Chanhassen community as well as many other deserving charities while you're here.

Pull Tabs

The Chanhassen American Legion raises funds through lawful charitable gambling. The Chanhassen Legion sells pull-tabs at the Legion bar.  There are generally 8 games in play for either $1, $2, $4 or $5 per ticket and instant prizes ranging from $1 up to $1000.

In addition to pull-tabs, the Chanhassen Legion operates bar bingo Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm starting the first Wednesday after Labor Day ending Wednesday before Memorial Day in the Maple Leaf Room. There are 12 bingo games played per occasion--10 non-cover-all games for $1 per sheet and 2 cover-all games for $2 per sheet (a sheet contains 3 bingo "faces").  Prizes for non-cover-all games are 75% of sales for that game, up to $99. Prizes for cover-all games depend on a number of factors and can reach $1,199. For more details, see the Bingo Rules or Bingo Patterns.

Meat Raffle and Virtual (video) Racing

Every Sundays starting at 3:00 pm the Chanhassen Legion has a meat raffle. Each round, 30 numbers are sold for $2 each. Once all the numbers have been purchased, a wheel containing 30 numbers is spun to select the winner. The winner gets their choice of available meat packages from the Hackenmueller Meats each worth approximately $40. There are 15 packages of meat per occasion.

In addition Virtual (Video Racing.  The races may be horses, cars or dogs.  Tickets are sold for $1 each.  There are instant winners and there is 2 winning ticket for each race.  One winning ticket is a Bingo winner and the other is the winner of the race.
